I'll Be Prayin' For You, Oil and Flour on Paper, 18 x 32", $500

Ill Be Prayin For You
This is a rare occassion where I need to weigh in a little on the interpretation of the piece rather than leaving that entirely in the hands of the viewer. I think prayer is good, and it has a real effect on our world, so don't let the pink barf chunks in the painting lead you to think I am down on prayer. This painting is more about the times when we express our needs and hurts to a comrade, and rather than practically addressing the suffering, the comrade expresses the sentiment of effective action rather than entering into said action. (How many times have you forgotten to pray for someone you said you would do this for?) If you see someone hurting, and all you have to offer in the way of comfort is prayer, pray with them right then and there, doggone it!
